Even today as a senior in high school I am still very close with all of my teachers. I had a very personal relationship with my teachers and felt like I could go to them with anything whether it was about school, life, or my faith- something I never got anywhere else. All of my teachers knew me by name and helped me one-on-one if I asked. Immediately I formed relationships with my teachers, which I never had experienced before. The first thing I found really different about SCS was how supportive and friendly the staff was. Senior: I transferred to SCS half way through my first year if middle school after having a poor experience in the public school system. I feel like I was left on my own in these areas. If I had have to provide one area for improvement, it would be for the school counselors/advisors to take a more active role in assisting seniors with scholarship searches and college advisement. The team coaches were very accommodating by allowing me the opportunity to play both sports, even though they often had conflicting practice times. I was involved in swimming and wrestling and these two sports had overlapping seasons. The school also offers numerous sports programs to students. The student body is very diverse and the level of bullying appears to be low in my opinion. I had the opportunity to dual-enroll in college courses while attending high school classes and have already received an associates degree. Senior: Great programs are offered at this school and I especially love the Cambridge Program! Heritage definitely helped prepare me for college by providing me with challenging courses, curriculum, and teachers.

Some teachers usually only offer 1 30 minute session and use the other for lunch, but some open for the full 1 hour. It's usually during "Power Hour" which is lunch time/office hours for the whole school. They usually always have office hours open during lunch time to help you. Most teachers at this school are very friendly and are very willing to help you succeed. There is a higher emphasis at this school on STEM, but English, social studies, and electives do not fall behind and they are still good. Mel high is a fairly diverse school and the teachers there focused a lot on helping students succeed. There were only a few bad things about it (nothing is truly perfect), but it was overall a very good school to attend. I can say for a fact through my own experiences at this school that it is very good. #8 Best Public High Schools in Brevard CountyĪlum: I graduated from Melbourne High School ("Mel-High") in 2020. The school community is uplifting, familial and a true gem in the public school system for both students and teachers. Students are respected, known by name, and due to the small school size are able to form tight bonds with the students and faculty around them. They uphold the values of community and virtue and are great to enforce the rules of the school in a reasonable manner. The administration does a fantastic job at adhering to the needs and desires of the overall student body and assists if their is any disturbance or hindrance to the education of the students. All are respectful, warm, and understanding individuals. The teachers create personal connections with the students and staff in their daily interactions and are of the highest standing and character. The staff are kind and accommodating to all students. The school is an A rated public charter school and they truly live up to that title. Junior: Pineapple Cove is a beautiful and welcoming community. The proposal also included the designation of a new position: undersecretary of the Air Force for space, a civilian position that would answer to the secretary of the Air Force and oversee U.S. The Department of Defense forwarded a Space Force proposal to Congress, on March 1, 2019, calling for a service that would fall under the Air Force in the same way the Marine Corps falls under the Department of the Navy.
